Sign Up For Auditions
Anyone in 2nd - 5th grade are welcomed to audition. Auditions will include a specific date to attend after school depending on who you choose. Each role will require acting lines, singing songs, and choreoghraphy. Each student who signs up for auditions will be reviewed through recommendations of their past year's teacher. Happy practicing and break a leg!

Preparing For Auditions
All roles with their names listed on the acting and singing descriptions below will need to be memorize as much for the auditions. Everyone will need to prepare singing the Bows Song (pg 67 in the full script above) as well as singing & dancing to the choreography video for Go with the Flow. (Listed below).
Choreography Video
Learn as much as you can for the show. We will be observing the beginning - 1:20 of the video. We will give extra credit if you learn the entire routine.

Crockett Elementary Theatre Expectations & Behavior Contract
Directed by Mr. Ainsworth
Welcome to Crockett Elementary Theatre! We are so excited that your child is interested in being part of this year’s production. Theatre is a place where students grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. Our goal is to create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where every student can shine both on and off the stage. Participation in theatre is a privilege and a commitment. We ask all students and families to carefully review the following expectations before auditions and rehearsals begin.
School Behavior Expectations
Students participating in theatre are expected to demonstrate excellent behavior throughout the school day, during theatre rehearsals, and at all school-related activities. Theatre is a team activity, and every cast member is expected to encourage and support one another. Mr. Ainsworth will ask previous year teachers for recommendations upon offering MTI contracts and roles.
Rehearsal Expectations
Students should plan to attend ALL rehearsals.
Parents will also receive text reminders regarding rehearsals and performances.
Rehearsal Pick-Up Policy
Parent Involvement & Volunteers is greatly appreciated and needed: Please help in ways you can, if possible.
All volunteers will receive guidance and direction from Mr. Ainsworth.

- Students must maintain strong academic and behavioral standing.
- Students should have no detentions or office referrals while participating in theatre.
- Any disciplinary concerns may result in removal from the production at the discretion of Mr. Ainsworth.
- Students are expected to maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive attitude during:
- School hours
- Rehearsals
- Performances
- School events
- Any activity representing Crockett Elementary Theatre
Rehearsal Expectations
Students should plan to attend ALL rehearsals.
- More than two missed rehearsals for ANY reason (including illness, vacations, or planned absences) may result in removal from the production at the discretion of Mr. Ainsworth.
- As the production develops, some rehearsals will be character-specific or backstage crew-specific.
- Detailed rehearsal schedules and required personnel will be posted on the theatre website: Crockett Music and Theatre
Parents will also receive text reminders regarding rehearsals and performances.
Rehearsal Pick-Up Policy
- Rehearsals will end at 5:00 PM each day.
- Students must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after rehearsal ends.
- 2 late pick-ups may affect a student’s participation in the production.
Parent Involvement & Volunteers is greatly appreciated and needed: Please help in ways you can, if possible.
- Providing snacks for students
- Painting props or scenery
- Building props and set pieces
- Assisting backstage
- Serving as a chaperone
- Helping during performance days
- Helping backstage with makeup and hair
- assisting during the show in the green room
- setting up and breaking down each performance day
All volunteers will receive guidance and direction from Mr. Ainsworth.
Performance Expectations
- Students must have an adult present at every performance and at the cast party.
- Students are expected to represent Crockett Elementary Theatre with professionalism and respect at all times.
- Students are expected to perform their part as intended without adding or changing the script.
- In costume
- On stage
- Backstage
- On set
- Representing the Disney franchise
Audition Expectations
To participate in auditions, students must:
- Submit the required Google Form sign-up
- Clearly indicate the exact role they are preparing for
- Fully memorized
- Well-prepared
- Performance ready
- The auditioning student
- Directors
- Judges
Callbacks & Casting
Callbacks are part of the casting process for all potential candidates.
- Not all cast will be asked to attend callbacks.
- Receiving a callback does not guarantee casting.
- Some students may be asked to read for additional roles that may or may not be related to the character originally selected.
- Final casting decisions will be made by Mr. Ainsworth with the assistance of judges to ensure fairness and the overall success of the production.
- Mr. Ainsworth will talk with previous years classroom teachers for recommendations before offering parts or contracts.
