Honor Choir
Select 4th and 5th graders from choir club will be invited to participate in the San Marcos CISD All-District Youth Honor Choir. These singers will demonstrate leadership, excellent musicianship and enthusiasm for singing! If you are selected, Mr. Ainsworth will contact you and send home a paper permission slip. Only 15 students will be selected. Students will be choosen through choir club perfomance, participation, and leadership qualities.

Itinerary
Friday, December 6th
5:00pm - 6:30pm Mandatory rehearsal at Goodnight Middle School. Please drop students off in
the bus loop, not the front of the school, as it is the closest to the GMS Choir Room. There will be a
sign directing you to the choir room!
Saturday, December 7th
Students should wear Jeans, Closed-Toed Shoes, and any School Appropriate Shirt. Students will
change into their Honor Choir Shirts prior to the start of the Concert. Please no Shorts or
Skirts!
9:00am - 9:15am Check-in at Goodnight Middle School. Students should be dropped off at the
bus loop in order to enter through the music building entrance. Students will check in with their
teacher once they have entered the Choir Room. We will have helpers showing students where to go.
9:15am - 9:50am Group Warmup and Rehearsal #1
9:50am - 10:00am Break
10:00am - 10:50am Rehearsal #2
10:50am -11:00am Break
11:00am -11:45am Rehearsal
11:45am - 12:30pm Lunch, provided for the students. The Choir Risers will be moved from the
rehearsal space to the Auditorium at this time.
12:30pm - 12:45pm Students will change into the Honor Choir Shirts and move to auditorium
12:45pm - 2:00pm Final run-through with our pianist and instruments in auditorium
2:00pm - 2:30pm Final opportunity to use the restroom, eat a snack, drink water, and line-up
before the concert begins.
2:15pm Doors to the GMS Auditorium Open. The Auditorium is by the Front of the School.
2:30pm Concert in the Goodnight Auditorium
